First Sermon

    • Repentance is an obligation
    • Immediately after commiting the sin
    • The first integral is to feel regret for doing that sin
    • The sorrow and regret has to not be for a worldly reason
    • The sorrow has to be because he disobeyed his Lord
    • The second integral is to immediately stop
    • Not while you're doing the sin
    • The third integral is to have the intention not to return back to the sin
    • He makes the intention that he will never return back to that sin
    • If he does the sin again then he does the same repentance steps over again
    • He can't say "I'm going to sin and then repent"
    • If the person does this then the sin will be erased from him
    • If the sin is leaving out an obligation then the person has to go back and fulfill that obligation before his repentance will be accepted
    • You need to do it before you begin the repentance
    • If the sin is an injustice done to another than the person has to go and seek the forgiveness of that person
    • Rather, because he disobeyed his Lord
    • If he's not able to give it back then he has to give the equivalent
