Welcome to Islam! The perfect religion. The religion of all the Prophets. The only religon that is accepted by God. Certainly, you have made the right choice by entering this perfect religion. By entering Islam you have guranteed your safety in this Dunya(this life) and the Hereafter. And as we all know, this life is much shorter than the life of the Hereafter. For the life of the Hereafter is eternal, and this life is only temporary. May Allah make you steadfast on this perfect religion. Because many people enter this religion but also there are many who leave it. And if you leave Islam after being introduced to it than you become an apostate, which is very disgusting and heinous. If you die in a state of Islam than you are guranteed paradise, and if you die without being in a state of Islam than your soul will undoubtedly enter Hellfire. Know, may Allah have mercy on you that the Creator is perfect. The reason why He creates us is a two-way fold which is very simple to answer. What He wants for the slaves and what he wants from the slaves.
What he wants from us is to simply know Him and all His perfect names and attributes, and for us to know that He infact Exists and He has Life, and He wants us to refrain from all the Sins and do all the obligations.
What Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala wants for the slaves is simple, reward and punishment. We get what we deserve. If we are Muslim and remain steadfast on it until death than He wants us to have enjoyment in this life and in the Hereafter. If we are not Muslim and we die without being in a state of Islam than He wants us to get punishment in this life and in the Hereafter.
May Allah make you among those who remain steadfast on this perfect religion called Islam!
Praise be to Allaah first and last, and thanks be to Him always. He blesses whomsoever He will with guidance, and deprives whomsoever He will of happiness. He saves His slave from misguidance and supports His close friends until the Hour begins.
It was a great achievment when you decided to embrace Islam and give up the misguidance in which you had grown up and the shirk [association of others with Allaah] which is forbidden.

One of the trials with which Allaah tests His slaves is the enjoining of obligations and duties such as prayer, fasting, zakaah (poor due), Hajj (pilgrimage) and other acts of worship, and the things that He forbids them to do such as lying, cheating, adultery, homosexuality and all other forbidden things, so as to see the sincere believer who obeys the commands of Allaah, so that He may admit him to Paradise, and the liar and hypocrite who does not obey Allaah, so that He may send him to Hell.
