“Hey.” Shay responded.
“Wassup. I didn’t see you after school today.”
“I know. I left early. I had to go somewhere.”
“With who? Abdul?”
“Yeah.”
Christy sighed. “Shay please, I told you...”
“We got married today!” Shay exclaimed.
Christy didn’t know what she was saying, she needed clarification.
“You what?”
“Me and Abdul. We got married today.”
Christy was shocked. “No way! How?” She asked in excitement.
“We were in the backseat. Than he told me that we should get married. I told him ‘no’, but he kept on asking. Idk, you know me, I’m not used to catching feelings. But it’s just something about him, the way he be looking in my eyes. I feel like I can trust him.” Shay said.
There was silence on both ends. Christy was stunned, shocked. But she did not detest. She had fallen in love with Jason and got married with him the same exact way. It was those eyes, the stare. She knew that Abdul had it too just like Jason, and he had used it on Shay.
“Shay, I’m happy for you, I really am. But you’re right, I do know you, and I know Abdul a little too. I really don’t think that you guys are...”
“I mean... you two don’t even know each other like that.” Said Christy.

They both erupted in a cackle of laughter. Even though Christy was shocked and flabbergasted, she was relieved that she finally had someone around her age to talk to about this whole marriage thing. Because she’s fairly new to it as well, it hasn’t even been a year yet.
“When did he say that?” Shay asked.
“He’s been saying it for a while now. At first I didn’t want to, but I finally told him ‘yeah’ after I caught him flushing down my birth control pills.”
“Omg why did he flush them?”
“He said that he wants to have a son with me really bad. I thought it was so adorable, him going through all that. And omg he raped me at the carnival!” She said and laughed.
“He ‘raped’ you?” Shay asked.

“So after he did all that you still wanna have his son?” Shay asked.
There was a pause. “I already am.” Christy said.
“OMG!” Shay said in awe.
Christy laughed. “I know!”

“Yaaass!” Christy exclaimed.
“You’re the only one who knows. You and Roxanne. I just got off the phone with her.” She added.
“You didn’t tell Violet.” Shay asked.
“No, she’s still in Jersey and won’t be back till next week. I talked to her on Facebook but I won’t tell her the news till she comes back. You know Roxanne’s had like four abortions, so she knows a little about this pregnant stuff.” Christy said.
Then her phone beeped. She was receiving a call from Jason on the other line.
“But lemme call you back girl, Jason’s calling me.”
“Okay.” Shay said, then she hung up.
Christy switched over to the other line,
“Hello.” She said to Jason.
“Wassup boo.” Jason said.
“I wanted to come over after school today, but I had detention.”
“Why did you have detention Jason?” Christy asked.
“I was high and got into an argument with Mr. Anthony.” He said. Mr. Anthony’s the school janitor.
“So they issued me a detention.” He continued.
Christy sighed. “Jason, are you serious? Where are you now?”
“Walking to Abdul’s crib to check on him, make sure he’s alright. I’m worried about him.”
“You know he left school today with Shay.” Christy said.
“Yeah, I know. That’s why I wanna check on him.”
A thin smile went across Christy’s face. She wanted to tell Jason but figured not.
“Yeah, go to his house Jason, I think there’s something he gotta tell you.”
“What’s that?”
“Just go to his house boy. He’ll tell you.” Christy said, then hung up.
She wanted to call Shay back but decided not to. Instead, she prepped her clothes for the following day when she will be returning back to school. Christy had gotten a couple days of out of school suspension on Monday when she got into a fight with Samantha, a girl at school during lunch who tried to put a move on Jason.
Jason rang the doorbell at Abdul’s house. He also lived in Delaware County, at the town of Lansdowne, PA. Not too far from Penn Wood High School.
Abdul came to the door a few seconds later, he was dressed in his white thawb robe and a huge smile was on his face.
“Wassup DuL.” Jason said and extended his hand.
Abdul reached over and grabbed Jason to embrace him. He gave him a warm hug.
“AS-SALLAMU ALAYKUM MY BROTHER.” Abdul said out loud to Jason while hugging him.

Abdul squeezed Jason harder and let go of him.
“Jason, I want to thank you.”
“For what?”

“Wait, you married her?” Jason asked.
“That’s correct.”
“Wow...” Jason said. He wasn’t surprised. He knew if anybody could marry Shay and put up with her it would be him.
“Come on, I got some bud, let’s go blow.” Jason said. He had some marijuana in his possession and propounded to go smoke with Abdul.
About half an hour later they were seated at a bench near the train tracks smoking a blunt.
“So tell me what happened when you left school with her today.” Jason said as he took a toke from the blunt and passed it to Abdul.
He subtly grabbed the blunt from Jason’s hand and took heavy drag.
“We went to her car and rode somewhere.”
“Then what?”
“We arrived at an isolated location and I proceeded to insert my penis in her vagina.”
Jason slapped Abdul on his back to congratulate him.
