I slowly reached out with my hand and gave her a peck on her top lip. She began to kiss back, but I slowly retreated before she had a chance to. I stared at her, she stared back. Then I began to sing to her.
“You should let me love you, let me be the one to, give you everything you want and need.”
Cindy looked at me with bewilderment and raised both her hands to cover her mouth. I normally am very shy to sing to her, last time I did was last year on her 24th birthday.
“Please don’t leave me.” I said to her while staring in her eyes. She stared back, her bottom lip began quivering as if she was trying to prevent herself from crying.
“O-o-ok.” She began to say. Then my mother came in the room and cut her off.
“Cynthia!” She said while standing by the doorway.
“Please come here!”
Cindy got up from the bed and walked over to Ahna who was standing by the doorway. They began talking. Silently, I tried to eavesdrop but was unable to. After about three minutes Cindy turned her head to face me. She had a despondent expression on her face,
“Your mom’s right Vague. I think we need to take a little break. Goodbye. “ She said.
Before I had a chance to interject and say something she was already out the door.
